Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
This policy explains exactly what Devtools does and does not do with your data. The short version: the tools you use run in your browser and send us nothing, and we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
Client-side tools
The large majority of tools on this site — formatters, encoders, decoders, generators, converters, and text utilities — run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The data you paste, type, or upload into these tools is processed on your own device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. You can confirm this by disconnecting from the network: these tools keep working.
Server-side tools
A small number of tools need a server because a browser physically cannot perform the lookup — for example DNS record lookups, SSL certificate checks, HTTP header inspection, and URL/Open Graph previews. When you use one of these, the specific input required (such as a domain name or URL) is sent to our API at toolsapi.p1902.in solely to perform the lookup and return the result. We do not store the inputs or results of these lookups; request logs are kept transiently for rate-limiting and abuse prevention and do not retain full request bodies.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are stored so we can read and reply to you. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and do not sell it or use it for marketing.
Analytics and cookies
At launch we use no analytics and set no tracking cookies. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is not a cookie and not sent to us. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Advertising (future)
We may introduce advertising in the future to support the site. If and when we do, we will update this policy and the cookie policy first to describe any cookies or identifiers the ad provider uses, and we will never place ads inside a tool’s working area.
Your rights and contact
Because we collect almost nothing, there is little to request — but if you have used the contact form and want your message deleted, or have any privacy question, reach us via the contact page.
